Privacy Policy
Wynnum Gold Buyers Pty Ltd (ABN 25 689 081 507), 81 Edith St, Wynnum QLD 4178 ("we", "us").
Wynnum Gold Buyers respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information, guided by the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries: your name, email, phone, message, the piece you ask about, your privacy consent and any viewing preferences. We use these to answer you and arrange appointments. Enquiries are stored by the Airlie Beach site's service for the same business.
- Spam protection: your IP address may be kept to prevent abuse and protect the enquiry service.
- Purchases: Shopify processes purchase, payment and delivery details to take payment, fulfil your order and provide support. We do not receive your full card details through this website.
- Selling to us: we view and record seller identification and transaction details when buying goods, as required by Queensland second-hand dealer law.
- Where the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act applies, we verify identity and keep the records needed for our AML/CTF obligations.
Who receives information
We share information only as needed with Shopify for purchases, our email provider for correspondence, and Lovable/Supabase hosting and storage services to run the site and enquiries. We may provide information to police, AUSTRAC or other authorities where the law requires. We do not sell your personal information.
Overseas storage and security
Our hosting, email and Shopify providers may process or store information outside Australia. The countries depend on their infrastructure and subprocessors. We take reasonable steps to protect information and limit access to people who need it. No online service can guarantee complete security.
How long we keep information
Our retention policy is to delete enquiries after two years and spam-protection IP addresses after 30 days. Seller, purchase and identity-verification records are kept as long as applicable law requires. Information no longer needed is deleted or de-identified, subject to required legal retention.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct your information by emailing us. We may need to verify your identity and may be unable to release or delete records where the law restricts it. If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first so we can investigate and respond. If it is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
